How to Get to Bibione from Venice

Bibione is an accessible Italian island resort that can be reached easily by car, bus, boat, or train from eastern and northern Europe. If you’re flying in, the closest airport will be in Venice or Trieste, as there is no airport in Bibione itself. From the airport, you can get to Bibione in one of the following ways:

By Train

You can reach Bibione by train in less than two hours. Keep in mind that there is no train station in Bibione itself so you will have to travel to one of the closest train stations – either Portogruaro if you’re arriving from the west or Latisana if you’re arriving from the east.

From Latisana, you can continue your journey onwards to Bibione by bus. Buses run frequently from Latisana but check the schedule before you depart to be safe.

By Bus

Buses operated by ATVO run from the mainland to Bibione in about two and a half hours. While the journey time is a bit longer, it is a much more convenient, affordable, and straightforward way to get to Bibione than going by train.

There is an airport bus service available from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Bibione every four hours and there are several bus stations in the centre of Bibione.

By Boat

There are no scheduled boat trips to Bibione from Venice, but you can make use of the combination of bus and boat tours run by ATVO.

By Car

1. Hit the Beach with the Whole Family

Home to one of Italy’s largest beaches, it’s no surprise that Bibione Spiaggia is a popular European beach destination. The beach is divided into 4 ‘beaches’:

Along the eight-kilometre stretch of Blue Flag beach, reaching as wide as 400 meters in some places, you will find Wi-Fi and eager beach service with no shortage of sun beds and beach umbrellas.

While Bibione’s Spiaggia Beach is certainly ideal for sunbathing and swimming (it has 28 lifeguard stations!), that’s not all it has to offer.
