#1 Best Places to Kiss in Barcelona

Cable Cars in Montjüic: What could be more romantic than having a cheeky smooch in a cable car and enjoying views over the entire city? Once you arrive, stroll through the beautiful gardens and spend some quality time with your partner. There are a number of places to stop and enjoy the views (and steal a kiss).

The Magic Fountain: If you decide to walk back down the Montjüic mountain, you will be rewarded by the stunning Magic Fountain. At night, enjoy a stunning display of lights, water and music and absorb the magical atmosphere in.

El Món Neix en Cada Besada (The World Begins with Every Kiss): From a distance, this mural of a kiss could easily be mistaken for graffiti, however as you get closer, you will notice that it’s made up of hundreds of photographs that have been taken by locals and express freedom in some way. For example, there are photos of couples kissing, people smiling, beautiful places in the world and more. Here is a website which will allow you to zoom into each individual tile! You will find this smooching spot in Plaça d’Isidre Nonell in the Gothic Quarter.

The Bunkers: The perfect, hidden spot to sit and enjoy a picnic with your partner whilst enjoying the sunset over Barcelona. Despite being one of the best viewpoints in Barcelona, even some of the locals don’t know about this hidden gem yet, making it a great spot to enjoy some privacy away from the hustle and bustle and kiss as the sun goes down.

Park Güell: This is one of the most famous attractions in Barcelona and for good reason. This spectacular park by Gaudí is full of corners perfect for an intimate moment surrounded by beauty.

Without a doubt, Born is the most romantic area to stay in Barcelona. Narrow, winding streets dotted with lots of cosy bars and restaurants, this is the perfect area for a couple to enjoy a romantic getaway. Born is part of the Old City and has maintained an authentic, traditional feel to it, however, due to its central location, most things are within walking distance (or at least a short metro journey away!).

Prefer to have a more intimate dinner in the comfort of your apartment? Go to one of the many food markets in the city to buy some quality, fresh ingredients for your night in.

La Boqueria Market: In the heart of the city, you will find the bustling market with lots of food stalls and tasting bars. You are sure to find everything you could possibly want for your cosy night in!

Sant Antoni Market: This is Barcelona’s second-biggest market and has fewer tourists than the famous Boqueria Market. Here, you will find plenty of fresh produce, meat, snacks and even clothing.

Santa Caterina Market: This colourful, modernist market is located in Born and sells fresh fish, meat cheese and much more.

Mercat del Ninot: If you want to steer away from the crowds, this fresh food market is for you. It’s more spacious than the others with enough space for everyone to comfortably stroll around and find the freshest produce for your romantic meal.
