How Completing Paid Surveys Online Can Fund Your Travels

Paid online surveys. We’ve all heard of them, and up until recently, they were merely used to make few cents until we got bored and moved on. But things have changed.

Online surveys have shifted from a way to waste an afternoon and something of a scam to a legitimate way to make money online, and the opportunities are only growing.

Not only are there now an ever growing number of sites offering to pay you cash for completing surveys, but there is a shift in the way these surveys are being conducted, offering the one thing paid surveys lack – consistency.

This is exactly what allows me to travel for months at a time, and depending on where I am in the world, I can fund my travel exclusively with online surveys – and have cash to spare.

How to Make Money with Paid Surveys

If making money online with online surveys while travelling sounds like a scam, you need to rewire your mind.

This is a method that works for me and many other people and because it’s an avenue open to anyone with an internet connection, it is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to make money online.

Other than setting up an account and answering some questions, it results in EASY money.

However, there’s something you should note. Because it is so easy for anyone to do, finding quality participants can be a challenge. This will work to your benefit.

The thing that most people don’t realise about making money with online surveys is that there is sophisticated technology in use to seek out inconsistencies. Put simply, you won’t be paid for pressing a few buttons.

You are being paid for a reason. There is a lot of research and work that is involved in gathering participants and having them respond to a survey. Surveys are expertly designed and multi-million dollar decisions can potentially be made out of this information.

By setting reading survey questions thoroughly and answering honestly, you’ll quickly set yourself apart from the rest and their algorithm will work in your favour. You’ll be offered better surveys, higher rates and more opportunities.

How Much Money can you Make?

If making money with online surveys has one flaw, it’s that you’re not in control of whether or not you’ll receive survey offers. This is why it’s crucial, to be honest, and open.

Having said that, I now receive so many daily offers to complete paid surveys that I can never complete all of them.

Survey sites will pay you anywhere from $1 to $5 per survey depending on the time, topic and site. I now earn much more than I used to earn from paid surveys.

When I consider what is worth my time, I do so relative to the location I am currently in.

Say I am in Thailand where $50 a day allows me to live comfortably. Suddenly a $2 survey that takes 15 minutes is well worth my time – it’ dinner paid.

And you can do even better.

I’ve learned to read really, really fast. Plus, something you’ll quickly realise is that many surveys ask similar questions, and you’ll begin to gauge the sort of question it is once you begin reading.

I can now complete surveys in half the recommended time.

Which Sites are the Best for Making Money?

I use multiple survey sites to earn money. Every country has their own online survey sites used to test a specific market. As I am based in Australia, I must stick to sites that have an Australian branch.

However, many of the sites I use are actually based in the US, and often these are the top paying ones.

I only have one rule – the site has to pay cash. I’m not interested in gift cards when I’m travelling as they’re simply of no use. I stick to sites that pay via direct bank transfer or PayPal.

I’ve had the most success with the following sites 3 sites, each of which operates in both the US and UK:

Toluna

Toluna is one of my favourite sites to make complete online surveys with. I receive daily survey offers from them and they also offer regularly ask me to participate in larger research projects – I recently did an extended phone interview for $35. 3000 points is equal to a $1, and it’s super easy to transfer points via PayPal once you’ve accumulated enough.

Swagbucks

Making money with Swagbucks is a little different, but it keeps things interesting. I don’t only do online surveys with them as they pay for other activities like watching videos and downloading and apps to trial. 100 SB (Swagbucks) is equal to $1 and they also pay via PayPal.

Pureprofile

I’ve read mixed reviews of other people’s experience with Pureprofile, but I’ve had fantastic success with them. They pay directly into my bank account (they also pay via PayPal) and offer great pay – between $2 and $5 per survey. You also get paid even if you’re screened out early on.
